About the Hiring Company:

We specialize in iGaming solutions, aiming to create engaging experiences for both operators and players. We're developing a powerful iGaming platform from the ground up, designed to handle up to 1.35 million requests per second during peak times while remaining efficient during quieter periods.

Experience in deploying updates seamlessly and expanding regionally is required. You’ll work with our team using Go for backend development, React for frontend development, and Python for testing. We're also building our own Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution for authentication and authorization.

We are committed to advancing our microservices architecture to ensure fault tolerance and high availability, aligning with our primary system goals. Additionally, we automate tasks at the testing stage of the main product.

The Team
Our product team is small but highly skilled, so every task matters. The team is experienced and supportive, always ready to lend a hand. We encourage asking questions and sharing knowledge. Product development is planned in group sessions where the whole team can easily communicate with product managers and work closely together. Most of us work from home, while others are based in our Cyprus office. We're very remote-friendly.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy, making key architectural and design decisions with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and design patterns.
• Oversee the development and enhancement of current technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the product team to guide technical execution in line with the product roadmap.
• Lead the technical team by implementing best development practices and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Set and monitor technical goals, ensuring developers achieve their targets.
• Ensure the timely delivery of team commitments in collaboration with the Delivery Manager.
• Design and develop fault-tolerant, optimized solutions that meet high standards of performance and reliability.
• Facilitate collaboration between various teams — including product, infrastructure, and business units — to achieve cohesive project outcomes.
• Conduct code reviews, backlog prioritization, and retrospective analysis to ensure continuous improvement.
• Manage the technical side of the certification and licensing process for the product (RNG, GLI, ISO, etc.).

The Successful Candidate:

• A minimum of 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Team Lead, or CTO) with a team of 10+ developers.
• Experience in the iGaming industry, particularly in developing online aggregators and slots, which will significantly ease domain-specific challenges.
• Proven ability to mentor and build scalable teams while demonstrating intellectual leadership.
• Experience in designing and managing high-load systems with high SLA levels.
• Expertise in load testing and performance optimization.
• Strong background in automated monitoring and notification systems.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data and Machine Learning.
• Deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in English (C1 or above) and Russian (C1 or above).

Practical experience with:

• RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Key-value storages (e.g., Redis)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Kafka event processing
• GitLab CI
