Senior Project Manager, Product and Engineering - iGaming - Onsite, Manila, Philippines
Location: Onsite, Manila, Philippines
About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to sit at the intersection of our Manila-based business teams and our Taiwan/Hong Kong development organization. This is a coordination and governance role — you're the person who turns business requirements into clear, prioritized, actionable work for engineering, and protects the team from noise, duplication, and scope creep.
This role exists because we move fast and the cost of misaligned requirements is real. We need someone who has lived that reality inside a B2C gaming operator and knows exactly what it takes to prevent it.
What You'll Do
Own the requirements gathering process — engage internal stakeholders across Player Operations, Marketing, CRM, Finance, and Compliance to translate business needs into structured, unambiguous product briefs
Manage and moderate the ticket pipeline — review incoming requests, assess feasibility and priority, identify duplicates, and make the call on what goes in, what waits, and what gets closed
Maintain and communicate the product backlog and sprint priorities in coordination with the Director of Product and engineering leads
Run regular syncs with the Taiwan and Hong Kong dev teams — in Mandarin where needed — to align on delivery timelines, flag blockers, and close communication gaps
Act as the single point of contact for internal departments on delivery status, timelines, and scope changes
Drive ticket discipline — enforce clear acceptance criteria, proper documentation, and consistent tagging and categorization
Escalate only what genuinely requires Director-level input; handle everything else autonomously
What We're Looking For
7–8 years of project or product management experience, with at least 5 years on the operator side in B2C online gaming (casino, sportsbook, or related) — vendor side experience alone will not be considered
Deep familiarity with the Asian online gaming landscape — Philippines, Taiwan, HK, or broader SEA; candidates who have seen the market evolve across multiple product and regulatory cycles are strongly preferred
Fluent in both Mandarin and English — you'll be running calls and writing documentation in both
Demonstrated experience managing backlogs and working directly with oVshore or cross-timezone development teams
Exposure to platform migration or re-platforming projects
Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable pushing back on requests, saying no diplomatically, and re-prioritizing without creating friction; seniority and credibility to hold the line with department heads is essential
Hands-on with a modern product ops stack: Jira or equivalent for ticket management, Confluence or Notion for documentation, Slack or Teams for cross timezone communication, and basic pipeline reporting (burndowns, backlog health)
Solid grasp of agile/scrum methodology
Sharp eye for duplicate work and scope creep — you close redundant tickets without hesitation
Comfortable with early morning or evening calls to bridge Manila and HK/TW timezone overlap
Based in Manila or willing to relocate; this is a full on-site role
What to Expect in Your First 90 Days
Day 1–30: Embed with the product and engineering teams, map the existing backlog, audit open tickets, and identify immediate duplication and priority issues
Day 31–60: Own the requirements pipeline end-to-end; establish a regular cadence with all internal stakeholder teams
Day 61–90: Backlog is clean, stakeholder intake process is running, and engineering has a single, trusted point of contact for business requirements
Team Context
You'll be coordinating with a cross-functional group of internal stakeholders across 4–5 departments and working directly with a development team of 20–30 engineers across Taiwan and Hong Kong. The Director of Product owns roadmap and strategy — you own delivery execution and pipeline governance. You'll have VP-level backing to enforce prioritization decisions across departments.
Nice to Have
Tagalog proficiency (helpful for local stakeholder coordination, not required)
Why This Role
You'll have real authority over the product pipeline — not just administrative coordination. If you've spent years inside a gaming operator watching launches go sideways because nobody owned the requirements end-to-end, this role was written for you.
